It is about one hour to Tateyama Station. Get off the train and head to the second floor to board the cable car.

How long does it take to get from Dentetsu-Toyama Sta. to Unazuki Station (the Torokko electric train boarding area) on the Kurobe Gorge Railway?

It is about 90 minutes to Unazuki-Onsen Station and a 10 minute walk after that.

What are the age ranges for children and adults?

For the purpose of determining base fare, passengers 12 years of age and older are classified as adults, passengers aged 6 to 11 are children, and passengers aged 5 and under are classified as preschoolers. (Elementary school students who are 12 years old may still be classified as children.)

Are credit cards accepted?

Credit cards may only be used to purchase Alpine Route tickets and highway bus tickets at the Toyama Chihou Railway Ticket Center. All standard tickets and special base fare tickets (reduced-fare tickets) must be paid for in cash.

Are there any discounts available for foreign travelers on the Toyama Chihou Railway?

Unfortunately, no discount tickets for foreign travelers are available.
(*However, those with a JR West Pass will receive a 10% discount for travel between Dentetsu-Toyama and Tateyama.)

Sorry, but we do not offer discount tickets for seniors.

Trains

Are trains of the Toyama Chihou Railway considered full when all seats are taken?

No, passengers may still use any standing room available.
This also applies to limited express trains. Please note that certain limited express trains have reserved-seat cars.

There are no restrooms on the trains, except for the Alps Express and Canyon Express scenic trains.
